Your “Why”
What makes us “show up” when no one is around to see us? What keeps us going when things get tough or uncomfortable? What inspires us to keep at it when we see no immediate results? What makes us get up and try again after we fall?
Our Why
Knowing “why” our goal is important to us can greatly impact how committed we are to achieving it. When we dig deeper into our reason for going after a goal, it gives us the opportunity to remember it when we are struggling, pushing us to keep working towards it. If our reason is big enough, it will propel us through the hard times so we can stay committed to achieving it.
Most people give up on their New Year’s Resolution by now because they have set intentions without getting clear on why they are doing it. Knowing your WHY can make a huge difference in your level of commitment.
