Choose to Do

As we work through the steps of ACHIEVE, we come to the “C” which is: choose to Do or Commit. Are you prepared to do what you need to do to move forward? It seems like an easy question but think hard on this. Big dreams take a big commitment! Most people say they are, but at the first sign of trouble – be it a small failure or resistance, they give up. You cannot wish or hope for success, you must have a burning desire supported by a meaningful reason to see your big dreams come true. You must truly believe that you’re capable and that you are willing to do what it takes to realize your success.

There is an old story of a General going to battle, immediately upon arriving on the shores of the land he was to attack, he ordered the boats that carried his army to be burned. Addressing his men, he told them to look at the boats that were aflame, “we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win”. He ensured there was no option for a retreat. We win or we perish! They won. The moral of this story is do not give yourself an easy retreat from your dreams, fully commit to your goals.

Make a contract with yourself and don’t break it!

And with Who

Success rarely happens without help from others. We don’t know all the answers nor are we experts in all areas of life. This is where we will identify WHO we need to help us get to the success we desire.
