You, as the instructor, should set participants’ expectations and help them bond. The I.M.P.R.O.V.E process should be a safe space for ideation, brainstorming and “solutioning”. So, make sure all participants feel heard and comfortable to share their point of view.

There are many ways to do ice-breakers, and we recommend the following due to its simplicity and effectiveness. However, feel free to explore other ways to make the participants bond.

Ask the participants to share:

  • NAME
  • DEPARTMENT
  • HOW LONG WITH THE COMPANY
  • SOMETHING UNIQUE ABOUT YOU
  • WHY DO YOU THINK YOU WERE SELECTED TO BE A PART OF THIS TEAM?
