This past Sunday was a day to celebrate moms. The women who have raised us and made us into the people we are today. From being a child’s first caregiver, friend, teacher, nurse, therapist, and support system, she is a one-stop solution for the best insights into life. A mother has a heart that knows giving more than taking. Let’s take this opportunity to thank our mothers for being there for us daily.

What are some things that you can do to thank her?

1. Give Her our Time

Time is the most precious gift we can give to someone; let’s give the gift of time to our moms. Spend time with her. Put your phone away, and take the time to talk to her. An hour of your time goes such a long way and will be meaningful to her. Work into your schedule time to consistently speak to her. Tell her what’s going on in your life and laugh with her.

2. Small Tokens of Appreciation

Sending her a card or some flowers or taking her out for dinner on a random Tuesday doesn’t only have to happen on Mother’s Day.

3. Connect

A small but pleasant surprise will always be appreciated and remind her that you are thinking of her. Remember, there are no guidelines on showing someone your appreciation, but just make sure you’re doing it. Be consistent and thoughtful. Connect with your mother and let her share her heart. She’s always there for you; it’s time for you to be there for her.

We wish all mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, and those who stepped in the role of mother 365 days filled with love.

“A mother is a person who, seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie.”
